How to Use Google Insights tool for keyword research

Google Trends is a one of useful Google products and more powerful tool used with little knowledgeto find latest online trends, search queries, comparison of keywords to select better one,  also for graphs.etc.

Google Trends or Hot Trends,

Google insights is a one among the useful Google products similar to Google Trends but more powerful. Some of the assets (over Google Trends) of this tool useful tokeyword research.

1)      You can narrow your search down to specific categories. For example if I wanted to research the word “specialist” I can select the category “Computers and Electronics” which helps focus on computer specialist.

If my business related to Blood Pressure monitors I would select “Health” as the category.

So say I was interested in what is popular in India right now these are the steps I’d follow:-

2. From the radio buttons on the left I’d select Country-Locations

3. From the Locations drop down I’d select desired country ( here I selected India)

4. From the filter I’d select Last 7 Days ( we can select desired time period)

5. I’d hit Search

 Search query- Update India

Result from Google Insights Top searches  here below:

It’s as easy as that. The difference between the information presented between this and Google Trends is that the insights information contains a lot of always popular phrases but on top of this provides me with a very solid 1-2 topics where as Trends tends to report a scatter gun of search phrases. Put it this way from what I’ve just seen anybody who can rank some content related to friendship day in India will be well on the way to some decent traffic.

The other thing to note about Google Insights is that they don’t include links to related web content in the results so if you want to drive traffic using this information it’s all about getting those natural search positions.
1)

You can check in your own industry whether there are any seasonal trends and you can use this information when planning your marketing activity.

3) You can compare the level of interest for a particular search term across up to five different countries or regions. As with Google trends, this does not indicate total search volume but the “level of interest” relative to all searches within a particular country.

4) You can search the relative volume of searches on other Google properties such as Google Web, Google Images, Google News, or Google Products.

5) You can see the top 10 searches for any category (such as consumer electronics) in any country, and also the fastest rising searches;

Combining these keyword tools gives you a thorough insight into your niche market and you can plan better which words you should be optimising into your site and also where you should be targeting you efforts.
